Do You Need Help Cleaning Your House?

Posted on: 12 September 2019

Did summer vacation get so busy that your house cleaning chores took a back seat to other activities? Now that the kids are back in school, maybe you are focused on getting your house back in order. Perhaps you have also considered that the holidays aren't that far away. Will you be having out-of-town guests staying at your house over the holidays? Or, maybe you start entertaining right around Halloween.

No matter the scenario, do you already have a plan to get your house totally clean? If you do, then you don't need to keep reading. However, if you don't have a plan already, from making a list of things that need to be done to arranging for maid services, here are some ideas that might help you.

Make A Cleaning List - Think of going into every single room with paper and pen in hand. As you go through each room, write down the things that need extra attention. For example, it's probably obvious that your wooden furniture needs dusting. But, what about things like porcelain decorative items? How long has it been since those have been washed and dried by hand? When you look in your kitchen, consider the last time you took everything out of the pantry and the refrigerator to give those areas a thorough cleaning.

Are there things your kids can do for you in the way of cleaning? For example, are they old enough to organize their closets and to make their beds each morning? As you make your list, think of making a column that includes chores your children can do for you. And, if they're not old enough to do those chores, write them down on your to-do list.

Arrange For Maid Services - Maybe you've decided that you need extra help in getting your house clean. If that's the case, have you considered arranging for maid services? A reputable house cleaning company can provide workers who have the training and the experience to thoroughly clean your house.

Decide how often you want the maid to come to your house. For example, if you're wanting only occasional cleaning, that can be arranged. However, you'll probably be happiest if you set a schedule for the maid to come once a week, or at least every other week.

Look over the list you compiled and see which items you want the maid to clean. For example, you might actually enjoy cleaning your own kitchen. If that's the case, the maid can spend more time cleaning the remainder of the house.
